DRV DAV Public School, Phillaur  started Van Mahotsava  Programme to make the environment green.  S. K. Malhotra (Chairman) and Darshan Lal (Sarpanch) were the special guests on the inaugural ceremony.  Students presented poem and choreography on the importance of the trees.  PPT and video were shown to show the necessity of  Tree-plantation.  Sh. S. K. Malhotra Ji told that Tree-plantation is mandatory in present time as the global warming is increasing. Human life is in danger by continuous deforestation.  Yogesh Gambhir, Principal of the school said, initially there is a target of 10,000 trees to plant, but it will be the endeavor to plant the unlimited trees.  Yogesh Gambhil Principal of the school appreciated and thanked Sh. S. K. Malhotra and Sarpanch Sh. Darshan Lal Ji for making the programme successful. Some teachers of the school Mr Vinod Kumar, Mr Ashish Kumar. Mrs Rosy Bhardwaj, Mrs Suman Sharma, Mr Jaspreet Singh  and Sudagar Singh , other Drivers from transport department  and gardeners of the school co-operated to make the programme a great success.  On the Tree Plantation Day, girl students of the school tied Rakhis on the wrists of Sh. S. K. Malhotra Ji( Chairman), Sh. Darshan Lal (Sarpanch) & Sh. Yogesh Gambhir ( Principal).  They also tied Rakhis on the wrists of school drivers. Plants were planted  in the Village Khaira, Atta, Saifabad and Tehng.  On this occasion, Mrs. Bhawna Khaira,  Sh. Jaspreet Singh Sarpanch of Village Atta.  Sh. Som Parkash Sarpanch of Khaira, Staff members of Govt. School Tehng,  Staff members of Govt. Primary School, Atta and staff members of DAV School, Atta were also present.
