In today's session, participants revisited the key insights from the 3-day Capacity Building Programme held in July 2024. The session started by re-examining the learning outcomes and pedagogies, ensuring that these principles were firmly understood and could be applied effectively in the classroom. The workshop aimed to bridge any content gaps and guarantee that students meet the minimum required learning levels. Another topic covered was the updated syllabus and pattern for Class VIII. Teachers analyzed the new changes, discussing the implications for teaching strategies and exam preparation. The session also featured an in-depth look at the Lab on Wheels, with each participant assigned to prepare a 3-minute video demonstrating the use of this portable lab. This task provided hands-on experience and highlighted the practical benefits of using Lab on Wheels for delivering science lessons effectively, even in resource-limited environments.
Overall, the session reinforced the application of innovative pedagogies, curriculum alignment, and practical science teaching tools.
Mr. Baljinder Singh, Principal of MD Dayanand Model School, Nakodar, was present as an observer during the workshop. His insights and observations added value to the discussions and contributed to the overall effectiveness of the session.
Principal cum Cluster Head Dr. Yogesh Gambhir thanked the resource persons and delegates and hopped that these in-service training workshops will equip the teachers to deal with the learners in a better way. He told the teachers that no method is the best method, a teacher has to adopt the method of teaching according to need, age and the content for teaching. He added that learning is lifelong activity and DAV organization offers the best platform. So, the teachers must be interested always to learn every day something new.
