Today, on April 23rd, the Literary Club of the school celebrated International English Language Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The day is not only significant for promoting the importance of the English language but also marks the birth anniversary of the legendary playwright, William Shakespeare.
To kick off the celebration, a young student dressed as William Shakespeare gave a charming self-introduction, embodying the spirit of the bard himself.
Students delighted the audience with recitations of his timeless poems "The Madrigal and Spring"
The stage came alive with the enchanting performances as students enacted scenes from Shakespeare's most beloved plays, including "Romeo and Juliet," "Macbeth," "Julius Caesar," "Hamlet," and "The Merchant of Venice."
A highlight of the event was a mesmerizing mime performance based on Shakespeare's iconic poem "The Seven Ages of Man," showcasing the versatility and creativity of the students.
Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir commended the students for their initiative in celebrating the legacy of William Shakespeare. He emphasized the importance of Shakespeare's contributions to literature and encouraged students to draw inspiration from his work to develop their writing skills.
