On 24th April,2024, the Heritage club of the school celebrated National Panchayati Raj Day to commemorate and raise awareness about the pivotal role of the Panchayati Raj system in local governance.
The school premises was adorned with vibrant display board showcasing the evolution, significance, and functioning of the Panchayati Raj system. The board featured informative posters, diagrams highlighting the impact of grassroots of democracy on rural development. Not only this, students of class 6th enthusiastically participated in role-play session, depicting various scenarios to illustrate the functions and responsibilities of Panchayati Raj institutions. The students of class 10th namely Ansh Narang, Nishita, Vineet, Tumanshu and Lovejot presented the presentation through PPT and aware students about decision-making processes, dispute resolution mechanisms, and developmental initiatives undertaken by village-level governing bodies. Students actively contributed their perspectives, asked questions related to local governance experiences. Principal, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir provided students with valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with decentralized governance. He further encouraged students to express their views on democratic values, community empowerment, and inclusive governance.
Overall, the celebration of Panchayati Raj Day was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding of local governance among students and educators alike.
