On the 26th of December, DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur Under the guidance of CBSE observed Veer Baal Divas, a day dedicated to honoring the martyrdom of Baba Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh, the Sahibzade of the 10th Guru Govind Singh Ji. The commemoration aimed to instill a sense of valor and sacrifice among the students.
As part of the observance, a special screening of the movie titled 'Chaar Sahibzade' was arranged for the students. The film vividly depicted the heroic saga of Baba Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh, offering a poignant tribute to their bravery and sacrifice.
The live telecast of the commemoration was broadcasted by the government on DD National, which was attended not only by the students but by the teachers and parents also. This initiative helped in spreading awareness about the historical importance of the day beyond the school premises.
An online quiz on Veer Baal Divas was organized for both teachers and students. This interactive session not only tested the participants' knowledge about the martyrdom of Baba Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh but also encouraged them to delve deeper into the historical context of the event.
Principal ,Dr Yogesh Gambhir stated that the event served as a platform for collective reflection on the sacrifices made by these young warriors and reinforced the values of courage and selflessness among the students.
