Poetry is the core of literature. To spread the fragrance of poetry and develop recitation skills among the students of UKG an English Rhyme Recitation Competition was organised on 11August,2023. Recitation activities help students to build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively. The tiny tots came up with different poems and recited them with great zeal and enthusiasm. The younglings chose a variety of topics for their recitation like poem on animals, friendship, happiness. Our cute poets enjoyed the beauty of expression, thought, feeling ,rhyme , rhythm and the music of words. Younglings astonished everyone with their voice modulation and amazing oratory skills.It was a treat to watch the little children all decked up with appropriate props as they shared a few lines with all their heart. The confidence shown by each during the competition was commendable.
The winners were applauded and praised for their capabilities by the judges. They appreciated the performance of the participants as well and hard work done by the their parents and teachers to train them with all the qualities required for recitation.

Principal Dr.Yogesh Gambhir stated that Rhymes help children to experience the rhythm of language. They also prove handy in engaging kids which is an essential component to keep them happy and cheerful. He further said that the main purpose behind conducting such competitions is to build self confidence,develop the oratory skills and self expression among the students.
