National Technology Day

National Technology Day is celebrated every year on May 11 to honor people working in the field of technology and highlight their achievements.
This day also commemorates the five Pokhran nuclear tests done by the Indian Army in May 1998 to determine the power of the bombs.
To provide a platform to the students to recognise and appreciate the efforts of Indian scientists and technocrats the school organised numerous activities. Students of 2nd std. Illustrated colourful gadgets. Students of 2nd, 6th and 7th grade were taken to Atal Tinkering Lab by Mr Mayank, Mr Gaurav and Ms Priya to provide students an opportunity to see the practical application of science concepts and motivated them to create innovative projects in future.In ATL they gained information about hand made science projects.They played electric game and entralled while operating multimeter . Students also observed projects in ATL and got motivation to create such innovative projects in future.
Students of 9th std. made posters on how the invention of nuclear energy impacted India. Essay writing was done by xi and xii students of science stream.This activity encouraged the students to research and write about various technological advancements and their impact on society.Mukul of class x demonstrated the working of Home Safety system to class viii under the observation of Ms Ranju and Ms Anupriya.He explained how to use ATL devices online and coding through online platforms. Presentations and videos were shown by Ms Suman Sharma to acquaint students about National Technology Day and how it is affecting their lives. Students also wrote inspirational quotes of their favourite scientists like APJ Abdul Kalam, Albert Einstein, Issac Newton etc.
Students also took pledge to use technology for the welfare of humanity.
Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir appreciated efforts of teachers and students and stated that such activities would help students to understand the importance of technology in their lives and appreciate the efforts of Indian scientists and technocrats in this field.
