Republic Day Celebration

Republic day was celebrated with great pomp and splendour in DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur. Since this was the 74th Republic Day, the institution decided to celebrate the occasion more grandly. Everyone was feeling very patriotic and happy. The campus was abuzz with the melody of music and enlivened with the colours of the tricolor everywhere. Children dressed in vibrant costumes danced gracefully to solidarity numbers. The function started by unfurling the national flag by Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir. The event consisted of speeches, dances, songs, acts on how various freedom fighters fought the British army and sacrificed themselves to free India. The brilliant acts and performances managed to bring everyone to the brink of tears and true emotions of patriotism.Also, some students participated at Tehsil Level celebration held at Govt. Senior Secondary School, Phillaur. Principal, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir inspired the students to retain the feelings of love for country by putting efforts to make India clean and green and to remember the sacrifices of great freedom fighters by following their footsteps and told all the students to abide by the constitution of their motherland and fulfill all their duties as responsible citizens. He lauded the efforts of the students and urged the students to uphold the integrity of the nation wherever they may be. The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
