WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATED

DRV DAV School phillaur organised World Environment Day on behalf of Forest Department of Phillaur division.On this occasion Daljit Singh( PSF DFO) Rajendra Kumar( Range officer) Jaswinder Singh (beat officer) and Karanvir Singh (beat officer) came in school along with other staff members. Daljit Singh addressed the students and told the importance of healthy environment and  the ways to  protect it. He added that it would be first step in the direction of Environment protection by minimizing the use of electric equipments. A  PPT, based on balance of environment was shown  to the students. Students recited poems and presented dance, depicting the importance of forestation. Guests from Forest Department phillaur planted saplings in the school. Yogesh Gambhir, principal of the school honored the guests with mementos and stated that today's students are alert young citizens of tomorrow, it is necessary that they should spread the message of Environment protection among their family members and neighborhood. This is not the responsibility of the government only but we all are responsible for the  protection of environment. Because healthy environment is the foundation of healthy living on the earth.
