The 60th General Conference & All-India Schools Festival is USO’s flagship event held every two years in a different Indian city, The 4-day event is attended by teachers and students from all-over India. Students compete in various competitions such as On-the-Spot Painting, Declamation (Hindi and English), Solo Dance, Group Dance and One-Act Play.
This year this event was held from 27th Sep 2022 till 30th Sep, 2022 in Chennai. Ten students along with two teachers participated in this event and brought laurels to the school.
School bagged first position in One Act Play on Gender Equality ,2nd prize in Solo dance ,3rd prize in painting competition and Consolation prize in Fancy Dress. In teachers category Ms Amita Sharma got 1st prize and Ms Sharmila got 2nd prize for their performance. The most important the school got’ The best school award.All delegates deliberated on the issues of global and social concern and came up with actionable suggestions – collectively as a group – on how these can be implemented in their immediate community. Peace March on Swachh Bharat, Nukad Natak on Cleanliness Drive, Workshop on Life skills,Automic Energy and Financial literacy Sightseeing Trip provided all delegates with a holistic experience. For 4 days, all delegates lived under the same roof, had the same food, shared their views with each other, respect everyone’s opinions – thereby promoting valuable ideals such as national integration, peace, tolerance, respect and so much more. Ms Nina Jain , Secretary Genaral of USO, Dr Ajeet Prasanth, Managing Partner- Dr APJ Educational consultancy honoured the winner teams. Principal ,Dr Yogesh Gambhir felicitated all the students and teachers for such a achievement. He also appreciated efforts of USO for imbibing such cultural and ethical values among students.
